LEW – English for work (Mercoledì 19:00-20:30) – Camponogara

This course is suitable for people with at least an A2 (preintermediate) level of English, and in generale people who have already knowledge of English. This course is not suitable for absolute beginners.

The course is for people who wish to build up a better understanding of the English language used when you are in different business settings. The course develops vocabulary related to business and work-related situations, a balanced amount of grammar needed to talk about work and leisure, to speak on the telephone, to present your company or your products, to negotiate, to participate in work discussions, etc. The course deals with specific vocabulary and terminology tailored for English in business (career moves, describing companies, making sales, describing products, etc.). During all lessons you will work on expanding new words and phrases needed when you are in business, and you will strengthen essential business communication skills, such as making presentations, telephoning, etc. using English in realistic business situations. During the lessons, the main focus will be on activating speaking skills through role-plays, and encouraging participants to communicate in English. The course is held in English.

COURSE CONTENTS

The course will include lessons which will take a look at a number of topics relating to business (for example, companies, buying and selling, marketing, work and leisure, advertising, planning, products, etc.).
